Job summary

Peraton is seeking a full-time background investigator near Seattle, WA. You will complete training, travel locally to interview subjects, and perform comprehensive record searches to assess employment suitability for government access.

You will report findings with precision and maintain confidentiality. Candidates must reside within 24 miles of Seattle city center, be eligible for Top Secret clearance, and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must reside within 24 miles of Seattle city center.
• Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance; T5 adjudication preferred.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Daily local and external travel as needed.
• Home office may be required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 6–7 week investigator training (virtual and in person) to certify under Federal Investigative Standards.
• Travel daily to conduct field background investigations for government access suitability.
• Schedule and conduct face-to-face interviews with subjects, neighbors, employers, and others.
• Perform record searches at police, court, educational and financial institutions, and health facilities.
• Type and report information clearly in government systems.
• Work independently within a team and with a Field Manager.
