Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel's International Supply Chain team is seeking a senior leader to drive ISC growth through proactive opportunity development, pursuit leadership, solution design, and post-award execution oversight. You will engage customers, shape multi-service solutions, and lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Design, and Implementation to ensure outcomes.

This role requires extensive travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify, shape, and qualify ISC opportunities before formal RFPs exist.
• Plan customer trips intentionally, maximizing meeting density and impact per trip.
• Coordinate discovery, solution inputs, proposal support, implementation oversight, hypercare, governance, and escalation support.
• Ensure solution integrity from design through execution and steady-state operations.
• Mobilize the organization across Sales, Solution Design, Bid Management, Product, Systems, Operations, Implementation, and Business Unit teams.
• Set clear pursuit direction, customer engagement strategy, and internal alignment expectations.
• Bridge traditional handoffs between Business Development, KAM, OKAM, Implementation, and Operations to ensure continuity and accountability.
• Retain overall accountability for customer outcomes, even when workstreams are delegated.
• Create demand for ISC solutions and build a healthy, qualified pipeline that supports sustained growth.

Senior customer-facing leadership role accountable for driving ISC growth through proactive opportunity development, pursuit leadership, solution design, and post-award execution oversight. This role creates demand for ISC by positioning Kuehne+Nagel as a strategic supply chain partner, not just a logistics provider. Success requires a strong customer presence, disciplined opportunity planning, cross-functional leadership, and end-to-end accountability from discovery and solution development through implementation and hypercare.

• Drive growth through won and expanded ISC engagements.
• Assess strategic fit, commercial viability, operational feasibility, and value potential before progressing opportunities.
• Support commercial discipline by ensuring alignment and engagement with priority accounts and prospects.Identify expansion and optimization opportunities during implementation and hypercare to enhance long-term revenue potential.
• Commercialize ISC as a strategic service and differentiate Kuehne+Nagel beyond transactional logistics execution.
• Champion the ISC value proposition internally, helping stakeholders understand when and how to position ISC solutions.
• Improve customer experience, issue resolution, decision-making quality, and relationship depth through senior-level oversight.
• Convert customer trust into tangible value, repeat business, and expanded engagements.

What we would like you to bring

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management.
• Business development, account management, or solution design experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of integrated supply chain solutions, including transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory management, and control tower concepts.
• Experience with supply chain technology solutions, including Order Management Systems (OMS) is a plus.
• Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), API integrations, and customer-to-provider system connectivity.
• Demonstrated success developing and closing complex, multi-service supply chain solutions.
• Experience engaging executive-level customer stakeholders and influencing strategic supply chain decisions.
• Proven track record of creating, qualifying, and advancing opportunities through a consultative sales approach.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex customer pursuits, solution development, and implementation programs.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, including business case development, value articulation, and opportunity qualification.
• Experience managing customer relationships from opportunity identification through implementation and operational stabilization.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S. to support customer engagement, business development, and internal stakeholder alignment.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
