Job summary

W.E. O’Neil Construction seeks a strategic National Director of Safety to lead our enterprise safety program across regions. This executive role partners with executives, operations, and field personnel to embed a proactive, people-first safety culture.

Responsibilities include developing national safety strategies, standardizing policies, ensuring OSHA compliance, and driving improvement through training, site visits, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive construction safety leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• Ability to travel nationally on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a unified national safety strategy aligned with company goals.
• Lead standardized safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Partner with regional presidents and operations leadership to drive nationwide safety accountability.
• Represent the company’s safety leader in client engagements and industry initiatives.
