Responsibilities

• Build skills to utilize current evidence-based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide holistic care to individuals across the lifespan and care continuum.
• Learn to collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Develop accountability for own practice, delegated care, and the coordination of care delivery. Behave in a manner that supports colleagues, and maintains respect, trust, and dignity.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge in nursing practice and assume responsibility for professional development.
• Attain core competencies such as taking ownership, teamwork, and patient/customer focus, understanding their importance and participating effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

Must meet the requirements of the year-long program, including preparation work and class attendance. Must remain in a full-time position for the entire program. Able to work and train on either night or day shifts, including holidays. Must agree to the program's terms and conditions.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience.
• Active RN license in the practicing state or primary residency if within a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• Current BLS certification with the American Heart Association. Quarterly AHA RQI competency certification required post-hire.
