St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin is seeking a National Nurse Resident to grow through a hands-on residency with mentorship and feedback. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized patient care, administer treatments, monitor vitals, and educate patients and families.

You will participate in an evidence-based Nurse Residency Program, driven by a team-first mindset, to build a meaningful nursing career with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • ASN and 0–12 months RN experience at hire.
  • TX RN license required on hire.
  • BLS CPR certification on hire.
  • BSN preferred on hire.

Responsibilities

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As a National Nurse Resident, you’ll step into a hands-on, supportive experience designed to help you grow and build confidence from day one. You won’t be on your own. You can expect real mentorship, meaningful feedback, and a team invested in your long-term success.

Every day, you’ll collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver care that sees each patient as an individual. You’ll administer treatments, track vitals, educate patients and families, and play a key role in making sure people feel seen, heard, and cared for.

To succeed in this role, you’ll actively engage in our comprehensive, evidence-based Nurse Residency Program designed to support your growth and professional development. With a strong drive to learn and a team-first mindset, you’ll continue sharpening your skills while building a meaningful, fulfilling nursing career.

  • Evidence-based Practice (EBP) and Patient Care: Builds skills to utilize current evidence based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking and problem solving skills to provide holistic care to individuals across the lifespan and care continuum.
  • Interprofessional Collaboration and Communication: Learns to collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
