Hallcon is seeking a Client Operations Manager to lead nationally distributed client and field operations teams from our Chicago area offices. You will bring hands-on transportation/logistics leadership, build client relationships, and drive performance using data insights.

This role requires strong collaboration with operations centers and a track record in unionized environments. Expect 20-30% travel and a 100% onsite work environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years management experience in transportation/logistics.
• Hands-on experience leading field operations teams.
• Proven client service and project management skills.
• Experience working in unionized environments.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key corporate railroad clients, including executives and stakeholders.
• Manage and own client books of business, including safety, service level metrics, and profit levers.
• Mentor and develop field operations managers to run dispersed teams effectively.
• Recommend, monitor, and optimize performance metrics and resource use.
• Lead client operations discussions and strategic outcomes.
• Travel 20-30% and maintain 100% onsite presence at company or field offices.
