Job Description

This position is contingent upon contract award. The National Patient Safety Quality Management Director (NPSQMD) provides leadership and oversight of quality, health, safety, and risk management programs for medical services supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and related units. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with policies and protocols, managing risk and incident response, developing quality assurance plans, overseeing incident review and root cause analyses, maintaining compliance with regulations, supervising staff training, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met across medical units. The role involves strategic management, collaboration with medical and security personnel, and may require travel to various medical units and meetings.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited U.S. Registered Nurse program with an active, unrestricted license.
  • Current BLS certification from an approved organization; ACLS preferred if applicable.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience, with at least three years in risk management, patient safety, or quality management.
  • Experience in detention, correctional, residential healthcare, or similar settings; supervisory experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Proficiency in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in stressful, austere environments.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $85,000 - $206,000, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and bonuses. Equal opportunity employer.
