Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Denver, CO is seeking a Transportation Data & Field Operations Engineer to support the National Park Traffic Monitoring Program. The role focuses on data analysis, QA/QC, and site visits to National Parks, reporting to FHWA and NPS stakeholders.

This in-office, full-time position requires travel 4–8 trips per year, and involves field work, data management, and presenting findings. A civil engineering or related degree and experience with traffic data are essential.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineer or related field with experience preferred.
• Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
• Experience with traffic monitoring practices and data quality control is desirable.

Responsibilities

• QA/QC on FOTSC traffic data.
• Monthly reporting of FOTSC traffic data to parks.
• Analyze traffic data in select parks for patterns.
• Compile data requests for traffic data as needed.
• Create/update count stations in the Traffic Database.
• Support the NPS Traffic Data Annual Report development.
• Presentations on FOTSC traffic data to stakeholders.
• Review inspection reports by FHWA or contractors.
• Provide backup support to FOTSC staff.
• Conduct field work and inspect count stations as per specs.
• Drive Federal government vehicles.
