Job summary

Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland) is seeking a Training Programme Director to lead national training programmes for the Scotland Deanery and contribute to broader strategic work across the specialty. Applicants must hold MB ChB or equivalent and be on the GMC General and Specialist Registers, with NHS education and training experience.

Qualifications

• MB ChB or equivalent qualification.
• GMC General and Specialist Registers.
• Experience in medical education and training within the NHS.
• Ability to lead national training programmes and engage with trainees and trainers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of national training programmes for the Scotland Deanery.
• Contribute to operational and strategic work within the wider specialty grouping.
• Interact with trainees, trainers and external bodies to support postgraduate education regionally and nationally.
• Secure employer support via a Service Level Agreement within the candidate's job plan.
