Job summary

Secure Community Network (SCN) seeks a Major Gifts Officer to expand its major giving program across the United States, identifying and cultivating new and existing donors and family foundations. The role focuses on stewardship and strategic engagement to grow unrestricted and restricted giving in support of SCN's mission.

The officer will manage a donor portfolio from $5,000 to $150,000, develop proposals, and work closely with leadership to align donor interests with SCN priorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of major gift fundraising experience.
• Experience in Jewish nonprofit fundraising preferred.
• Ability to travel nationwide and work flexible hours.
• Proven track record of closing gifts and building donor relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to increase revenue using varied techniques.
• Manage a core portfolio of major donors at the $5,000–$150,000 level.
• Build a national major gifts pipeline by identifying and meeting with potential donors.
• Create and execute personalized strategies for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts.
• Conduct donor interactions through in-person visits, virtual meetings, and events.
• Align donor interests with organizational priorities and work with leaders to sustain donor activity.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions in the CRM.
• Collaborate with team members to develop new funding proposals.
• Design communications strategies to steward $10,000+ donors and support campaigns.
• Identify and steward prospects for planned giving and endowment opportunities.
• Support local and national partners to engage donors in security initiatives.
