Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Oracle Transportation Management expert to own end-to-end lifecycle, from planning to invoicing. You will diagnose issues, drive optimization, and partner with Operations and Finance.

This hybrid role in the U.S. requires 3+ years OTM experience, strong problem-solving, and the ability to train users across transportation management and billing, contributing to efficient global trade.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) experience.
• 2+ years troubleshooting OTM including planning/optimization, shipment execution, tendering, and workflow issues.
• 2+ years supporting transportation financial processes (rates, billing, invoicing, settlements).
• Experience managing support tickets and root-cause analysis.
• 2+ years working with transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience training end users and maintaining SOPs for Oracle Transportation Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end functional and technical support across OTM modules (order management, planning, optimization, shipment execution, billing).
• Troubleshoot complex OTM issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with Operations.

Can you own & optimize the full Oracle Transportation Management Lifecycle?

Come to Kuehne+Nagel and be the central OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) functional expert, leading end-to-end troubleshooting and optimization across planning, execution, financials, billing, and invoicing. Diagnose complex system issues, uncover root causes, partner with operational teams, and ensure data integrity across the OTM platform.

How you create impact

• Provide end-to-end functional and technical support across Oracle Transportation Management, including order management, planning and optimization, shipment execution, event management, financials, billing, invoicing, rates, and contracts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Oracle Transportation Management issues, including planning failures, order fallouts, missing scans, shipment builds, tendering, carrier assignments, and workflow triggers.
• Manage incoming Oracle Transportation Management support tickets, identifying root causes, resolving issues efficiently, and translating technical challenges into actionable solutions for Operations.
• Partner with Operations, Pricing, Finance, technical teams, clients, and vendors to resolve shipment, system, billing, and invoicing issues while ensuring data integrity.
• Train and support Oracle Transportation Management users through targeted training, user guides, SOPs, and troubleshooting documentation that strengthen system knowledge and adoption.
• Drive continuous improvement across Oracle Transportation Management processes, identifying recurring issues and using operational feedback and data insights to improve system performance, efficiency, and service delivery.

What we would like you to bring

• Bachleor Degree in IT or related field or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of hands-on Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) experience, supporting transportation operations in a functional, technical-functional, or application support capacity.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting Oracle Transportation Management, including order management, planning/optimization, shipment execution, tendering, carrier assignment, event management, or workflow issues.
• 2+ years of experience supporting transportation financial processes, such as freight rates, rate maintenance, billing, invoicing, settlement, or transportation cost validation.
• Demonstrated experience managing system support tickets and root-cause analysis, including diagnosing issues, documenting resolutions, and coordinating with technical and operational teams.
• 2+ years working directly with transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations, with demonstrated understanding of transportation workflows from order creation through shipment execution and financial settlement.
• Demonstrated experience training end users and developing or maintaining SOPs, user guides, or troubleshooting documentation for Oracle Transportation Management or a comparable TMS.
