National Equity Fund, Inc. (NEF) seeks a strategic Head of LIHTC Originations to lead its national LIHTC originations platform, directing regional and specialty teams and shaping developer relationships.

The role drives policy, pricing strategies, and cross-functional collaboration to meet production goals and investor needs. Ideal candidates have 10–15+ years in real estate finance with LIHTC, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in underwriting, structuring, or originating real estate with LIHTC preferred.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and developing talent.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in complex financing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex structures.
• Experience with affordable housing finance and LIHTC, state credits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor national originations teams and set strategy.
• Develop national and regional originations plans aligned with production goals.
• Oversee annual regional business plans for LIHTC and related products.
• Represent NEF in LIHTC industry and at conferences.
• Monitor performance, pipeline health, and market trends.
• Ensure compliance with controls and regulatory requirements.
