The Instrument Maintenance Technician contributes to the operation and control of equipment used in the process of air separation; while dedicated to supporting and caring for plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment.

  • Support, maintain, and resolve issues with instrumentation systems and calibrations, guided by manufacturers’ instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations

  • Install, maintain, adjust, and care for manual, pneumatic, electric, and electronic measuring, recording, and regulating instrumentation

  • Maintain, resolve issues with, and perform preventative inspections on mechanical equipment and systems, guided by manufacturer’s instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations

  • Support, maintain, and resolve issues with electrical systems, guided by manufacturers’ instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations

  • Support quality control and quality assurance equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs

  • Maintain calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measuring equipment as well as calibration gas cylinders

  • Execute diverse and varied analytical calibrations and adjustments

  • Maintain, resolve issues with, and support maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment

  • Foster a strong culture of safety

  • 5+ years experience maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems in technical processes in an industrial environment

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Position travels 50 percent of the time

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum two years of college, technical school, or military technical experience preferred
