Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a National Insite QA/QC Manager to ensure region-wide compliance with standards, safeguarding margin and minimizing risk across programs. This role supports LOA coverage, training initiatives, and talent retention through aligned compensation and title decisions.

The position requires establishing audit protocols, conducting site assessments, coordinating corrective actions, and leading onboarding for new hires.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's in chemistry, biology, or Environmental Science preferred.
• 3+ years of hazardous waste experience.
• Ability to develop and deliver training materials related to environmental health, safety, and hazardous materials management.
• Familiarity with federal/state regulatory requirements for Small and Large Quantity Generators.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
• Establish baseline audit protocols for new waste programs, document compliance parameters for each project location.
• Collaborate with Ops Manager, Site Lead, Branch Manager, and other resources to track corrective actions and share "Lessons Learned."
• Perform site evaluations (Site General Assessments) and compliance checks using MS Forms.
• Visit and assess top 5 customers per region.
• Review and update site SharePoint content, ensuring JHAs, SOPs, Ops Manual, and HASP information are current.
• Conduct monthly Best in Class in-person assessments.
• Support implementations, startups, and onboarding of new hires.
• Provide coverage for LOA, terminations, and PTO, ensuring proper waste packaging, profiling, and labeling prior to shipment.
