Job summary

McGough seeks a Senior Superintendent for the National Healthcare Team to plan and oversee all project aspects, including safety, scheduling, and budgets. You will coordinate field staff and subcontractors, drive Lean initiatives, and mentor junior leaders on large healthcare projects.

The role requires extensive construction and healthcare experience, strong communication, and the ability to work across pre- to post-construction stages, with travel to out-of-town assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 15+ years of construction-related experience.
• 10 years Healthcare experience with acute care hospitals.
• Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to supervise multiple superintendents and assistants.
• Facilitate superintendent meetings.
• Mentor superintendents and foremen through training programs.
• Experience initiating and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all pre-construction tasks including safety plan and schedule.
• Oversee field staff, subcontractors, and material delivery.
• Develop and manage project schedule with the PM team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, RFIs, procurement, tools and equipment.
• Work with QA to meet project-specific requirements and QC plans.
• Maintain on-site documentation and As-Built drawings.
• Monitor labor, materials, and equipment budgets for the project.
• Closeout tasks: punch list, commissioning, owner training.
• Lead Lean practices, standard work, and pull-planning sessions.
• Foster client, design team, and subcontractor relationships.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement culture.
