Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director for Health Systems to drive sales and growth within large healthcare networks and IDNs across the USA.

You will collaborate with regional leaders, influence formulary decisions, and develop account plans that align with corporate strategy. The role requires travel and strong cross-functional partnership across Medical, Marketing and Support teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with hospitals, health systems, IDNs, and organized customers.
• Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical sales with hospitals/health systems in account management.
• Proven formulary and pathway adoption within health systems or hospital environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Travel to visit hospitals, health systems, IDN and organized customers; 25–50% travel.
• Willingness to travel nationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic account sales plan to achieve or exceed sales targets within assigned health systems.
• Collaborate with RADs to identify opportunities to grow product adoption and win new business in health systems.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies.
• Pull through national advocacy initiatives within targeted health systems and hospital networks.
• Lead and coach RADs and AGMs to achieve sales objectives and continuous improvement.
• Organize training with Learning and Development to improve product knowledge and regulations.
• Engage in business development activities, including conferences and meetings with healthcare stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Director, Health System as the subject matter expert for the CVR franchise.
