Job summary

Apex Infrastructure Solutions seeks a General Manager to lead and grow nationwide operations, driving safety, project execution, and profitability while building a scalable organization.

You will develop relationships with commercial, industrial, municipal, and utility clients, oversee multiple projects, manage budgets, and partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit and develop skilled craft talent through union and apprenticeship programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in construction, infrastructure, or related fields.
• Experience leading union, non-union, or apprenticeship environments.
• Proven track record in business development, proposals, and market expansion.
• Ability to travel extensively and establish nationwide operations.
• Strong financial acumen with budgets, forecasting, and P&L responsibility.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage, payroll, IRA, and labor compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth, profitability, and operational success of the business.
• Develop and maintain client relationships across commercial, industrial, municipal, utility, and general contracting sectors.
• Collaborate with estimating and leadership to pursue bids and develop proposals.
• Oversee union fencing operations, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Build a high-performance team through Talent Acquisition and development.
• Establish processes, performance standards, and accountability.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, labor, equipment, and overall financial performance.
• Champion safety culture and OSHA compliance.
