Job summary

Global Medical Response's Air Evac Lifeteam is seeking a dedicated Helicopter Air Ambulance Pilot for a full-time position in Nashville, TN. The role focuses on safe, compliant medical air transport and coordinating flight operations with the Operations Center.

Incentives include a salary range of $102,073 – $107,399 with a 15% geographic modifier, a $12K float stipend, a $15K sign-on bonus, retention bonuses, on-duty housing, and a 14 days on/14 days off schedule; overtime applies after 40

Qualifications

• 2000 hours total flight time
• 1500 hours helicopter time
• 1000 hours pilot in command
• 500 hours turbine
• Minimum of 200 hours night (aided or unaided)
• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter certificate
• FAA Helicopter instrument rating
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Creates pilot information guide with location, frequencies and procedures for flights into hospitals and EMS agencies.
• Conducts local area orientation as required.
• Maintains flight planning data with Regional Director of Flight Operations.
• Operates aircraft safely and in compliance with Rotorcraft Flight Manual.
• Monitors weather and forecast changes.
• Performs preflight inspections and documents discrepancies.
• Ensures compliance with FAA regulations and Air Evac Operations Manual.
• Performs housekeeping duties and aircraft cleaning as needed.
• Submits paperwork promptly and accurately.

HAA Pilot Full-Time Opportunity

We’re hiring aNational Float Pilotto provide medical air transportation services for Air Evac Lifeteam’s customers. Safety isa key pillar of ourservices.

Incentives:

• Salary range $102,073 - $107,399including 15% Geo Modifier
• $12K Float stipend
• $15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
• On Duty Housing
• Schedule 14 Days On and 14 Days Off
• Hourly position (any hours over 40 in a pay week is over time)

Responsibilities

• Creates pilot information guide to include location, frequencies, and procedures to be used, when flying into hospitals and other EMS agencies.
• Conducts local area orientation as required.
• Informs the Regional Director of Flight Operations anytime the necessary information for flight planning is not available or up-to date.
• Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
• Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations
• Conducts preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting any transports or flights. Preflight will be conducted utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual. Discrepancies noted during the pre-flight will be noted in the engineering log with a notification to maintenance of the discrepancy and what corrective action is being taken
• Reports any major malfunctions, aircraft damage, or injured personnel to Operations Center in the most expeditious manner
• Ensures that all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the Air Evac Operations Manual, and any state or municipal regulation; thus ensuring safe, efficient transport
• Performs any housekeeping duties required to make the crew quarters and hanger area neat, clean, and presentable along with nurse, paramedic.
• Wash, wax, and clean aircraft, as needed, along with nurse, paramedic and maintenance personnel.
• Submits all appropriate paperwork in a neat and timely mannerPerforms other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• 2000 hours total flight time
• 1500 hours helicopter time
• 1000 hours pilot in command
• 500 hours turbine
• Minimum of 200 hours night (aided or unaided)
• Previous HEMS experience or equivalent – preferred
• 1 year experience with any GMR Air company – preferred
• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter certificate
• FAA Helicopter instrument rating

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter certificate
• FAA Helicopter instrument rating
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current FAA Class II Medical certificate
• B206 Experience preferred

• 230-pound weight limit dressed in flight suit and boots
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Required to work frequently near moving mechanical parts
• Required to work in outside weather conditions
• Frequently exposed to blood-borne pathogens or airborne particles
• Frequently exposed to vibrations/turbulence
• Exposed to loud noise levels requiring headphones while in-flight
• Mental ability to make quick but sound decisions.
• Ability to follow clear oral and /or written procedures without deviation.
• Adapts to irregular work pace.
