National Distribution Manager

Job Summary:

The National Distribution Manager will develop and execute strategic sales initiatives with key national distribution partners while leveraging the full resources of the Abicor Group network. This role requires a results-driven professional who can build relationships, identify opportunities, and drive revenue growth through solution-based selling approaches

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans for national account growth that include market development strategies, clear objectives, KPIs, milestone tracking, and both short-term tactical approaches and long-term strategic initiatives; continuously adapt these plans based on market intelligence and performance data while maintaining alignment with corporate objectives and identifying new business opportunities across the complete Abicor Group product portfolio
  • Serve as primary relationship manager for assigned national distribution accounts, working with Abicor Group managers to support national distributors and conduct regular business review meetings while achieving annual sales targets and growth objectives for the national distribution channel through solution-based selling that understands customer needs and matches them with appropriate Abicor Group products and services; generate and qualify sales opportunities across all Abicor Group entities and product lines, then present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with national account decision-makers
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of the complete Abicor Group catalog, including product features, benefits, competitive advantages, and customer value propositions
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in Abicor's CRM system and own the opportunity pipeline for assigned national accounts across all Abicor Group entities; provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance updates to senior management while ensuring seamless communication and coordination across Abicor Group entities through CRM documentation
  • Work effectively across multiple departments, business units, and management levels; coordinate and communicate across various Abicor Group entities, including technical teams, operations, customer service, and other stakeholders to ensure customer success
  • Support and potentially lead a portion of the national account team initiatives and goal-setting
  • Work independently to manage a schedule that maximizes effectiveness with 50% to 60% travel expected (travel percentages may be higher initially as this develops a new sales channel); communicate travel plans with the manager if requested
  • Represent Abicor Group at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings, as well as conduct on-site customer visits, facility tours, and technical consultations as needed
  • Must be a self-starter who does not require daily direction or motivation to complete tasks and be able to effectively serve multiple departments and executive levels of management within large customers, requiring strong communication, adaptability, empathy, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills

Qualifications

  • Must have an unrestricted US work permit with a valid State driver's license with a good record, and be able to obtain a passport, if required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial distribution or manufacturing,g with a proven track record of managing large, complex accounts with multiple decision-makers
  • Experience with national account management and distribution channel development is preferred
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt strategies based on changing market conditions
  • Advanced skills in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time (note: not all travel will include overnight stays)
  • Must be punctual to appointments and commitments, follow through on all promises and commitments, and operate in an honest and ethical manner whenever acting as an agent of the Abicor Group
