Job summary

The Veterans Benefits Administration in Denver seeks a Director of Project & Program Management to provide national leadership, strategic direction, and senior-level oversight of VBA programs and operations.

The role reports to the Office of Field Operations and leads staff across area and regional offices, guiding major initiatives to improve service delivery to Veterans nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a full operational assistant to the ADUSFO and exercises full responsibility as a Director to a business line under the Office of Field Operations.
• Provides day-to-day direction to staff responsible for creating and managing central office projects and programs to improve VBA performance.
• Leads project managers and consultants to VBA management and field offices on complex issues affecting benefits delivery nationwide.
• Coordinates implementation of VBA's national initiatives to enhance service levels for Veterans and partners.
• Explains organizational problems and prescribes corrective actions to OFO leadership and VBA executives.
