Job description

The Director of Food and Beverage will nationally plan, implement, and monitor sales and operating expenses for the food and beverage outlets. Directs and organizes the Food & Beverage function within the company to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and merchandising to maximize profits. This role will be responsible for creating a highly efficient and effective national food and beverage strategy.

Pay Range - $120,000 - $150,000

This remote position will be located in either Minnesota or Illinois

Responsibilities:

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to drive profitability within F&B operations
  • Partnering with operations for efficient training and consistency with inventory counts
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies for enhancing F&B offerings and driving growth across all venues
  • Responsible for creating and implementing food and beverage standard operating procedures
  • Menu development for the different areas of the business to include special event, regular menu and banquet menu.
  • In conjunction with the COO set menu pricing, and partner with marketing for menu design for all venues.
  • Partner with operations and support services to conduct training and hold venues accountable to menu standards.
  • Research new products, evaluate cost and profit while taking into consideration regional menu needs
  • Ensure kitchen equipment energy management, preventive maintenance, and all equipment standards are consistently met.
  • Excellence by monitoring food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable and safe manner.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts both nationally and locally for food, beverage and equipment to include rebates and preferred pricing
  • Monitors vendor and supplier performance to ensure proper quantity, quality, and price for all purchases.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvement strategies
  • Partners with operations on managing the POS systems as it pertains to correct pricing and monitoring food cost
  • Courage to embrace other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Three years' experienceas the leader of a multi-unit food and beverage program
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong partner with operations teams and support service.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a F&B team, ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Knowledge of food and beverage safety and sanitation regulations
