Job summary

The Building People, LLC is hiring a Commissioning & Energy Engineer to support Building Commissioning (Cx) and energy audits nationwide across federal and commercial facilities. You will assist in BAS programming, data collection, M&V activities, and energy reporting under senior guidance.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of related experience, a Bachelor's in engineering, and are willing to travel up to 50% to client sites across the United States and territories.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably HVAC-focused.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with BAS knowledge.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commissioning across building projects and systems.
• Collect field data for ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits.
• Support energy-end-use calculations and M&V activities.
• Assist in programming BAS under supervision of senior engineers.
• Draft documentation and reports for commissioning and energy audits.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office and data analysis.
