Job summary

Specialty Building Products is looking for a National Accounts Sales Representative to sell, promote, and provide information about products to national account retail dealers.

You will establish relationships with department associates and store managers, answer questions on prices, availability, uses and credit terms, and quote prices and delivery dates. This remote, full-time role offers strong benefits and growth across SBP brands.

Responsibilities

• Sell and promote approved products to national account stores.
• Establish and build a relationship with department associates and store managers.
• Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
• Recommend products to customers based on needs and interests.
• Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders.
• Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
• Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
• Assist with drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs.
• Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
• Identify prospective customers using business directories, leads, and trade shows.
• Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
• Perform administrative duties such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping records, and expense reports.
• Obtain credit information about prospective customers.
• Forward orders to customer service for processing.
• Plan, assemble, and stock product displays in retail stores and advise retailers on displays, promos, and advertising.
• Negotiate with retail merchants to improve product exposure and shelf positioning.
• Train customers' employees in product knowledge to assist them in selling the product.
