Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency is offering a National Accounts Casualty Intern position in Minnesota within its Business Insurance team. You will gain exposure to the casualty broking process, meet clients, and participate in negotiations with brokers and underwriters while contributing to strategic reviews and final presentations.

The internship provides real-world insurance experience, training, and professional skill development to prepare you for client management or sales pathways in the industry.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in risk management, insurance, finance, business administration, accounting, or related field.
• Computer proficiency in all Microsoft Office functions, especially Excel.
• Ability to think critically, analyze complex information, and review work for accuracy.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• 3.0 GPA or higher is a plus.

A day in the life.

An exciting opportunity awaits you as our National Accounts Casualty Intern on the Business Insurance team, where you will gain broad exposure to the entire casualty team broking process. You'll dive headfirst into the action, from meeting with clients and engaging in crucial negotiations with our brokers and underwriters, to conducting strategic reviews of our casualty book and crafting final presentations. This is your chance to get a truly immersive experience in the fast-paced world of national account casualty business.

Learn to apply the concepts you've learned in the classroom through project work and client interaction. You'll also develop professional skills that will serve you the rest of your career. Marsh McLennan Agency's internship program gives you the chance to find your interest and place in the insurance industry. Our internship will focus on the tools needed to build a solid foundation for our Client Management or Sales career pathways.

• Computer proficiency in all functions of Microsoft office especially Excel.

• The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

• Previous work experience in a professional setting.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.

The applicable hourly rate for this role is $20.
