Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency offers a Summer 2027 Insurance Intern program designed to provide real-world risk management and insurance experience in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

You will participate in account management, benefits analysis, and internship activities including client interactions, carrier field trips, and a final presentation to senior leadership, with mentorship and opportunities to learn across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 minimum is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preference for students in their senior year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure in account management and benefits analysis.
• Work with our agency and industry teams on projects and client interactions.
• Participate in lunch-and-learn sessions, carrier field trips, and ad-hoc projects.
• Deliver a final group presentation to senior leadership.

A day in the life.

MMA's internship is a comprehensive program that will provide you with real world business, risk management, and insurance experience. Learn to apply the concepts you've learned in the classroom through project work and client interaction. You'll also develop professional skills that will serve you for the rest of your career. Marsh McLennan Agency's internship program gives you the chance to find your interest and place in the insurance industry. MMA's goal is to provide insight into all areas of the insurance industry and act as a springboard into full-time careers in the role you desire. Our internship will focus on the tools needed to build a solid foundation in Employee Health & Benefits and Business Insurance.

Each intern selected for the program will gain exposure in account management and benefits analysis as well as our agency and industry overall. Elements of the internship program include lunch & learn sessions, analyzing client information, researching for ad‑hoc projects, carrier field trips, and a final group presentation delivered to the senior leadership team.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• Cumulative GPA 3.0 minimum
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Students entering their senior year toward a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree preferred.
• Majors in Risk and Insurance Management, Finance OR displaying a keen interest in learning insurance, risk management, or financial consulting fields.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Applied knowledge in the areas of communication, interpersonal relationship management, versatility and creativity.
• Resolution and solution-oriented.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
