Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a National Accounts Property Intern on the Business Insurance team in Minneapolis. You will engage with clients, assist in negotiations with brokers and underwriters, and participate in strategic reviews of the casualty book to craft final presentations.

The internship offers real-world insurance experience, exposure to multiple teams, and opportunities to develop career skills within client management or sales roles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a field such as risk management, insurance, finance, business administration, accounting, or a related discipline.
• Computer proficiency in all functions of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• The ability to think critically, analyze complex information, and review work for accuracy.
• The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• 3.0 GPA or higher is a plus.

A day in the life.

An exciting opportunity awaits you as our National Accounts Property Intern on the Business Insurance team, where you will gain broad exposure to the entire casualty team broking process. You'll dive headfirst into the action, from meeting with clients and engaging in crucial negotiations with our brokers and underwriters, to conducting strategic reviews of our casualty book and crafting final presentations. This is your chance to get truly immersive experience in the fast-paced world of national account casualty business.

MMA's internship is a comprehensive program that will provide you with real world business, risk management and insurance experience. Learn to apply the concepts you’ve learned in the classroom through project work and client interaction. You’ll also develop professional skills that will serve you the rest of your career. Marsh McLennan Agency’s internship program gives you the chance to find your interest and place in the insurance industry. MMA’s goal is to provide insight into all areas of the insurance industry and act as a springboard into full-time careers in the role you desire. Our internship will focus on the tools needed to build a solid foundation for our Client Management or Sales career pathways.

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

• Previous work experience in a professional setting.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.

The applicable hourly rate for this role is $20.
