Job Summary

The National Account Category Manager (NACM) is the primary contact for all assigned categories with this high-volume, nationwide account with a Fortune 500 customer. The NACM serves as the main point of contact for all customer activity and works as a liaison with PGI corporate to ensure this account receives best-in-class customer service. This position is a sales leadership role with exposure to the highest-level executives at both the customer and PGI's internal organization.

Primary Duties

  • Drive sales, profitability, and awareness of PGI with this high-volume account to support business plan achievement.
  • Collaborate with product management to optimize inventory and deployment, manage product lifecycles within existing categories, and gain new/competitive share in non-supported categories.
  • Coordinate with PGI’s internal operations stakeholders to ensure high fulfillment rates of customer orders.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships within the account and develop expertise in the customer's go-to-market strategy.
  • Partner with the account to create and implement joint business plans, promotional strategies, and conduct regular line reviews.
  • Perform data analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities, and utilize fact-based sales techniques.
  • Participate in major customer events, including remote locations, factory visits, and industry events.
  • Proactively communicate competitive risks, opportunities, and new product ideas to corporate. The NACM will also handle reporting and forecasting activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Willingness to travel 20%+ of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, automotive technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, P&L responsibilities, and monitoring publicly traded companies' performance.
