Position Summary: The National College Savings Field Representative serves as a subject matter expert, communicating the features and benefits of Union Bank and Trust's 529 plans. This role involves providing timely updates and key information to financial professionals, with travel across targeted U.S. markets to promote awareness of the plans. The representative supports the growth of advisor-sold 529 plans by serving as a resource and researching innovative marketing strategies. A working knowledge of financial topics such as college savings, investments, operations, and taxes is essential.

Essential Functions:

1. Service and promote Union Bank's 529 Programs in targeted markets nationwide.
2. Make proactive marketing calls (in-person and phone) to financial advisors and investment professionals to strengthen relationships.
3. Visit non-producing financial advisors and firms to introduce and encourage utilization of the 529 Plans.
4. Plan trips, meetings, and presentations to maximize impact while traveling.
5. Perform outbound calls to grow existing business and develop new relationships when not traveling.
6. Stay current as a subject-matter expert on 529 programs, industry trends, and developments.
7. Research and execute campaigns and messaging strategies.
8. Represent Union Bank's 529 programs at local, regional, and national conferences and events.
9. Provide regular updates to the 529 Field Coordinator on activities and industry trends.
10. Assist the 529 department as needed.
11. Understand and comply with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations, including completing necessary training and reporting issues.
12. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
13. Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Experience in mutual funds, investments, finance, taxes, or financial planning required.
3. Ability to project a professional image and promote the 529 programs positively.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and relevant financial software.
5. Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
