Position Summary: The National College Savings Field Representative serves as a subject matter expert, communicating the features and benefits of Union Bank and Trust's 529 plans. This professional provides timely updates and key information to financial professionals. The role requires travel across targeted U.S. markets to increase awareness of the Union Bank and Trust 529 plans. The representative supports the growth of advisor-sold 529 plans by serving as a resource to financial advisors nationwide and researching creative marketing strategies. A working knowledge of financial industry topics, including college savings programs, investments, operations, and taxes, is essential.

Essential Functions:

1. Service and promote Union Bank's 529 Programs in targeted markets across the U.S.
2. Make proactive marketing calls (in-person and phone) to financial advisors and investment professionals to strengthen existing relationships.
3. Visit non-producing financial advisors and firms to introduce the 529 programs and encourage future utilization.
4. Schedule trips, meetings, and presentations in targeted markets to maximize impact while traveling.
5. Perform outbound calls to grow business with producing advisors and develop new business with non-producing advisors when not traveling.
6. Stay updated on industry developments and trends related to 529 programs.
7. Research and implement marketing campaigns and messaging.
8. Attend and promote 529 programs at local, regional, and national conferences and events.
9. Provide regular updates to the 529 Field Coordinator regarding activity and trends.
10. Assist with functions of the 529 department as needed.
11. Understand and adhere to all applicable policies, laws, and regulations, completing compliance training and following internal controls.
12. Report compliance issues or violations as per bank policies.
13. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
14. Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Experience in mutual funds, investment, finance, tax, or financial planning required.
3. Ability to project a professional image and promote the 529 programs effectively.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and financial software.
5. Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
