Description

Introductory Period
From the date of hire, there is a one hundred and eighty-day (180) introductory period for all new hires. Excellent attendance is required, with schedule flexibility determined by business needs. During these 180 days, Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group will evaluate your performance to identify areas for improvement, additional training, or employment dismissal if necessary.

Essential Job Functions. Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Be in proper uniform at all times (nametag, pants, hat, etc.). Wear a clean uniform daily.
  2. Be punctual and reliable. Follow all call-in procedures if you will be absent.
  3. Handle monetary transactions accurately, including counting back change to guests. Follow all cash register and cash/credit procedures.
  4. Greet guests warmly as they pass by, thank them after their order, and invite them to return. Example: “Hi, welcome to (store name). How may I help you?” and “Thank you, come back again!”
  5. Listen carefully to guest orders, take, and repeat to ensure accuracy.
  6. Seek opportunities to suggestively sell menu items.
  7. Explain pager and numbering systems where available.
  8. Inform guests about coupons or special offers as applicable.
  9. Keep work area clean and organized; do not stock personal items on counters.
  10. Maintain display case cleanliness and freshness.
  11. Follow additional side duties as directed by management.
  12. Possess sufficient English comprehension skills for safety, instructions, policies, and guest service.
  13. Maintain cleanliness in your work area (“clean as you go”).
  14. Have fun and enjoy your work environment!
Qualifications

Physical Demands and Work Environment include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, touch, climb, lift, and read (see) for extended periods (8+ hours).
  • Ability to lift and move boxes, supplies, and materials weighing up to 25 lbs safely and regularly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with limited movement.
  • Ability to maintain sanitation and food safety standards in accordance with food service regulations.
