Description

Introductory Period
From the date of hire, there is a one hundred and eighty-day (180) introductory period for all new hires. Excellent attendance is required, with schedule flexibility determined by business needs. During these 180 days, Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group will evaluate your performance to identify areas for improvement, additional training, or employment dismissal if necessary.

Essential Job Functions. Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Be in proper uniform at all times (nametag, pants, hat, etc.). Wear a clean uniform daily.
  2. Be punctual; attendance is essential. Follow all call-in procedures if you will be absent.
  3. Handle monetary transactions accurately, including counting back change to guests. Follow all cash register and cash/credit card handling procedures.
  4. Greet guests warmly as they pass by, thank them for their orders, and invite them back. Example: “Hi, welcome to (store name). How may I help you?” and “Thank you, come back again!”
  5. Listen carefully to guests, take and repeat orders accurately.
  6. Look for opportunities to suggestively sell and do so.
  7. Explain pager and numbering systems where available.
  8. Explain coupons or other offers to guests as applicable.
  9. Keep your work area clean and organized; do not stock personal items on counters.
  10. Maintain display case cleanliness, stock, and freshness.
  11. Follow side duties assigned by management.
  12. Possess English comprehension skills for safety, instructions, policies, and guest service.
  13. Clean as you go; ensure your area is presentable for guests.
  14. Have fun at work!
Qualifications

Physical Demands and Work Environment include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, touch, climb, lift, and see for extended periods (8+ hours).
  • Ability to regularly and safely lift and move boxes, supplies, and materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment with limited movement.
  • Maintain sanitation, food safety, and other food service standards.
