Provide lifeguard services and monitor swimming pool activities to maintain a safe, healthy and controlled environment for guests; enforce and assure guest compliance with pool rules, regulations and policies. Prepare pool for all activities.
The incumbent must be 15 years old; age 16 is preferred. Must be able to swim 200 yards nonstop using freestyle or breaststroke, tread water continuously for at least 2 minutes, retrieve a 10‑pound brick from the bottom of the diving well, and be able to climb out of the pool without using the stairs or ladder. Incumbent must be knowledgeable in rescue skills, CPR, First Aid and AED, and have strong oral and written communication skills. Incumbents must possess knowledge of the aspects, methods, practices, procedures, equipment and terminology used in the assigned field, and must hold an International Lifeguard Training Program license.

The employee will be required to push/pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to swim at least 200 yards of freestyle/breaststroke without stopping, retrieve a 10‑pound brick from the bottom of the diving well, tread water continuously for at least 2 minutes, and climb out of the pool without the use of the stairs or ladder.
