Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations in Grand Prairie, TX.

You will assist the Pharmacist In Charge, handle controlled drugs processes, maintain stock, and help package and ship medications while following safety policies. Ideal candidates will have a valid Pharmacy Technician license, strong medication knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician credential required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician a plus.
• Accurate medication and generic knowledge essential.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist In Charge with daily functions.
• Process returned drugs and manage disposal per procedure.
• Maintain floor stock and restock/rotate medications as needed.
• Prepare and package medications for shipment or inventory.
• Ensure adherence to pharmacy policies and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team to support pharmacy goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist In Charge with daily functions
• Experience working Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) room
• Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications in a timely manner
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
• Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls
• Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications
• Package fill and ship medications
• Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies
• Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
• Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies
• Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy
• Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor

Qualification:

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician
• Certified Pharmacy Technician a plus

Shifts:

• 11:00am - 7:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays
• 12:30pm - 9:00pm with rotating weekends and holidays
