Nanopore Account Executive – Greater St. Louis


Location: Remote (Must be based in the Greater St. Louis Area)

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is transforming genomics through real-time, accessible, scalable DNA/RNA sequencing. We're looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our US commercial team. This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in the Greater St. Louis area to effectively support and grow our local client base.

Your Mission:
In this role, you'll be the face of Oxford Nanopore for academic, government, biotech, and pharmaceutical labs throughout the region. You’ll lead strategic sales initiatives, grow key accounts, and drive adoption of our cutting-edge GridION and PromethION platforms in complex, consultative selling environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive business in the St. Louis region across academic, biotech, pharma, and government sectors
  • Build and execute account growth plans and strategic territory plans
  • Manage and grow relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Field Apps, Inside Sales, Marketing)
  • Represent ONT at regional seminars and conferences
  • Utilize CRM systems and consultative sales techniques to maintain a robust pipeline

What You’ll Bring:

  • BSc (preferably Life Sciences) + 5 years in field-based sales, including 3+ years with scientific instrumentation or NGS
  • Proven success in complex, high-value capital equipment sales cycles
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Commercial acumen and comfort working independently
  • Existing KOL relationships in the St. Louis area a strong plus

The salary for this role is between $124,000 and $186,000USD. Certain roles within ONT are eligible for annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance.
