Job summary

The Cradle Company in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a nurturing and reliable nanny to provide full-time, long-term care for their 1-year-old, beginning as soon as possible (or October 13th). Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8/9am – 4/5pm.

Responsibilities include attentive daily care, age-appropriate activities, healthy meals, and light housekeeping while maintaining routines. A German-speaking candidate is a bonus; must be vaccinated.

• Keep the child’s bedroom, toys, and play areas clean and organized.
• Complete the child’s laundry as needed.
• Transport the child to activities using a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

A loving family in Los Angeles, CA (90042) is seeking a nurturing and reliable Nanny to provide full-time, long term care for their 1-year-old, beginning as soon as possible (or October 13th).

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8/9am – 4/5pm

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide attentive, engaged care throughout the day, staying present and responsive to the child’s cues and needs.
• Plan a balance of active play, reading, outdoor time, and independent exploration.
• Maintain consistency with familiar routines, including naps, meals, and snacks, while adjusting the day based on the child’s needs.
• Prepare and serve healthy, nutritious meals and snacks, with an emphasis on shared mealtimes.
• Encourage active play and meaningful interaction while keeping screen time minimal to none.
• Keep the child’s bedroom, toys, and play areas clean, organized, and tidy.
• Complete the child’s laundry as needed.
• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle for transporting child to park, activities, etc.

The ideal candidate is warm and calm, with an outgoing and confident personality that is engaging without being overbearing. They understand and value responsive, attachment-focused care, are attentive to the child’s cues and needs, and are comfortable balancing comfort and connection with gentle, age-appropriate boundaries. They appreciate a consistent daily rhythm while remaining flexible and responsive to the child’s needs throughout the day. Ideally, they have some education or training in childhood development, though this is not a strict requirement.

Note: A German-speaking nanny would be an added bonus!

Compensation: $35/hr (Guaranteed 40 hours, PTO, Sick Time, Holidays TBD)
