Job summary

The Cradle Company in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a flexible and nurturing nanny for short-term infant care (7-month-old). The role starts ASAP with Monday–Friday hours and transitions from part-time to full-time over 1–2 months, with occasional weekend flexibility.

Responsibilities include feeding, nap scheduling, play, light housekeeping, and meal prep as needed. Must be vaccinated and able to manage a developmentally rich home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for infants (7 months old) or younger.
• Ability to manage daily schedule, feedings, naps, and solids introduction.
• Vaccinations up to date as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care while managing the baby’s daily schedule, including feedings, diaper changes, naps, and age-appropriate routines.
• Prepare and feed bottles, offer solid meals as appropriate, and ensure all nutritional needs are met throughout the day. Cooking family meals will become a responsibility once the position transitions to full-time.
• Follow and adapt to the baby’s evolving nap schedule, supporting healthy sleep habits and consistent routines.
• Engage the child in developmentally appropriate play, reading, sensory activities, and interactive experiences during wake windows.
• Maintain a screen-free environment and encourage learning through hands-on play, exploration, and caregiver interaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment by tidying baby areas and cleaning up after daily activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks and occasional meal preparation as time allows.

A loving family in Los Angeles, CA (90039) is seeking a flexible and nurturing Nanny to provide short-term care for their 7-month-old, beginning as soon as possible.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM for 1-2 months. Then transitioning to Monday-Friday, 7:00/8:00 AM-3:00/4:00 PM, with flexibility for occasional weekend care.

This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of an extension.

Above all, they provide attentive, nurturing care while fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment.

Note:The family has a German Shepherd mix dog in the home.

Must be vaccinated (TDAP, TB, COVID, Flu)

Compensation: $35-$40/hour (Holidays Off, 10 Days PTO, 5 Days Sick Time, Health Stipend once transitioned to full-time)
