Household Staffing in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a devoted Nanny/Housekeeper for a wonderful family in Williamsburg. The ideal candidate will form a strong, natural connection with two children aged 6 and 10, stay engaged with their activities, and bring a warm, proactive presence to the home.

Core hours are 37 per week: Monday 10am–7pm, Tuesday–Friday 12pm–7pm, with 3 flexible hours weekly for date nights or weekends.

Qualifications

They understand a hybrid role may involve trade-offs. Their top priority is a Nanny with strong childcare skills and the right personality fit — someone who can contribute meaningfully to the rhythm of their household.

Childcare

• Strong, natural connection with children (ages 6 and 10 — increasingly independent, so the focus is less on care and more on engagement). Experience with pre-teens or teens.
• Dynamic, joyful, and proactive energy
• Creative engagement: arts & crafts, cooking, outdoor play, activities that reduce screen time to zero
• Excellent communication with both children and parents — reliable, transparent, and proactive

Household Contribution

• Willingness to take on light to moderate housekeeping (tidying, laundry, organizing, basic errands)
• Strong cooking skills — healthy family meals are a big plus
• Comfortable in a structured yet warm family dynamic

Flexibility & Fit

• French-speaking is a BIG plus
• Availability to travel to Europe in the summer (8 weeks, July–August) and for occasional weekends in the Hampton

Terms

Core working hours (37 hours per week)

• Monday, 10 am to 7 pm (9 hours)
• Tuesday to Friday, 12 pm to 7 pm (28 hours)
• Floating hours (3 hours per week) either for date night (7 to 10 pm) or weekend, or added to the core working hours.
