British American Household Staffing seeks a loving live-in weekend nanny on the Upper East Side of New York City to care for three children ages 2, 6, and 8. The schedule runs Friday 3pm–Sunday 6pm with a guaranteed 30 hours per week, including crossover with the weekday nanny.

Responsibilities include managing sleep, hygiene, meals, and homework, maintaining tidy spaces, and providing an engaging environment. Travel with the family occasionally may be required.

Overview

A loving family living on the Upper East Side is seeking a fantastic live-in weekend nanny to help with their three children aged 2, 6, and 8-years.

The schedule will be Friday afternoon through Sunday - Friday 3pm-10pm, Saturday 8am-9pm and Sunday 8am-6pm. With a guarantee of 30-hours per week. The family has a weekday nanny, so there will be a crossover at times.

The parents are hands-on and enjoy spending quality time with the children, so, there will be times when the nanny has shared care as well as sole responsibility. The nanny should be able to read the room and know when to step in and out.

A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided when working.

This is for an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Childcare, including managing sleep, hygiene routines, and preparing the children's meals
• Ensuring the children's areas are kept clean and tidy
• Work with the family's weekday nanny to ensure a smooth crossover
• Assist the older children with any homework.
• Provide an engaging and stimulating environment
• Keeping children's belongings organized and child-related spaces tidy throughout the day
• Occasional travel with the family for short periods of time, if available

Qualifications

• Kind, loving and warm
• Organized and proactive
• Background in children's education would be a plus
• Active and energetic, and able to keep up with a busy toddler
• Creative and engaging, and enjoys getting down to the children's level
• Work as a team with the parents
• Interested in having longevity in the role
• Excellent communication skills
• Travel with the family if required

Salary and Benefits

• $40 per hour
• 10 days PTO
• 5 Sick days
