British American Household Staffing is seeking an experienced nanny/family assistant on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The role offers either live-in or live-out arrangements, with a typical schedule of 40–50 hours per week and flexible days.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the current staff, care for two children, handle light household duties, and occasionally travel with the family. Ideal candidates are warm, genuine, low-maintenance, and eager to form a long-term

Qualifications

• High-level childcare experience with warm, energetic approach
• Excellent communication and judgment for a household setting
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask across childcare and light household tasks
• Comfortable working collaboratively with existing staff without ego
• Cooking skills are a plus and appreciated
• Willingness to be flexible with schedule and long-term commitment
• Valid driver's license and comfortable driving; passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally
• CPR and First Aid certification is required

Overview

A warm, professional family on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking an experienced, proactive Live-In or Live-out Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their children and assist with the day-to-day running of the household. The family currently has a nanny on staff, and the new hire will work collaboratively alongside her. They are looking for someone warm, genuine, and low-maintenance in approach. They are seeking a true forever person, someone who fits naturally into the household, works well alongside existing staff without ego or competitiveness, and brings a caring, easygoing spirit along with a strong skill set.

The family values being flexible on schedule details until the right candidate is found, with a general range of 40 to 50 hours per week. Days are open and can flex around the right candidate's needs, potentially running Monday through Friday with weekend flexibility, or a Tuesday through Saturday structure, depending on what works best once hired. This is intended to be a long-term placement, and the family is open to relocation for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Requirements
