This long-term opportunity is ideal for a developmentally knowledgeable childcare professional who enjoys supporting early milestones, exploring the city with children, and serving as a steady, collaborative guide for first-time parents.

The Schedule:

The Family:
  • Two working first-time parents with demanding and often unpredictable professional schedules seek a trusted childcare professional to support their growing family
  • One parent works primarily from an outside office during the week and from home on Fridays, while the other works from a dedicated home office, works long hours, and travels frequently
  • They value professionalism, trust, clear communication, and a nanny who can work harmoniously alongside busy parents while exercising good judgment and autonomy
  • Their parenting style blends structure with flexibility, emphasizing manners, healthy boundaries, independence, and a calm home environment
The Role:
  • This is a dedicated childcare position focused entirely on the child's care and development
  • Manage all child-related infant care, including maintaining feeding, nap, and activity routines
  • Support developmental milestones and transitions, including introducing solids, language development, walking, and eventual potty training
  • Plan fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities
  • Take the child on outings, classes, walks, and adventures throughout the city while finding social opportunities close to home and within the building community
  • Maintain organization and upkeep of the child's spaces, belongings, laundry, and commonly used areas
  • Prepare healthy meals and support appropriate food introductions as solids are introduced
  • No driving or swimming responsibilities are required
  • Serve as a knowledgeable guide and trusted partner throughout the child's early years
You:
  • You are warm, experienced, proactive, and developmentally knowledgeable
  • You bring positive energy, excellent judgment, healthy professional boundaries, and clear communication skills
  • You enjoy exploring the city with children and seeking enriching experiences beyond the immediate neighborhood, including green spaces in TriBeCa, just a short walk away
  • You are confident partnering with first-time parents and sharing observations, suggestions, and questions openly
  • You enjoy creating engaging experiences and being a trusted, consistent presence in a family's life
  • Strong infant and toddler experience is required to help guide the family through the next several years
  • CPR and First Aid certification are required
  • Current vaccinations are required

  • Paid federal holidays (specific holidays to be defined)
  • Overnight stipend
  • Weekly OMNY pass
  • Private bedroom provided during travel and overnight stays
