Job summary

Solidigm Inc. is seeking an experienced RTL Design Engineer in San Jose, CA to drive architecture, design, implementation, and optimization of complex digital logic for NAND Flash memory–based SSD controllers.

You will translate system requirements into efficient microarchitecture, push through ASIC implementation, and collaborate across teams to deliver robust controller solutions for advanced SSD products.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Typically 3+ years of RTL design and ASIC development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog and synthesizable RTL.
• Deep understanding of digital logic, timing, and computer architecture.
• Experience with ASIC design flows: RTL sim, lint, synthesis, STA, integration.
• Ability to optimize RTL for performance, power, and area.
• Familiarity with clocking, CDC/RDC and clock-domain issues.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement RTL modules for NAND Flash SSD controllers.
• Develop hardware logic for NAND sequencing, data transfer, and error handling.
• Analyze timing paths and optimize RTL to meet PPA targets.
• Lead RTL development through synthesis readiness and ASIC handoff.
• Collaborate with firmware, architecture, verification, and physical design teams.
