Job summary

Milan Institute in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Manicure Instructor to convert professional nail care expertise into structured classroom and hands-on instruction. You will mentor students, supervise student services, and ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and state regulations.

The role emphasizes teaching nail anatomy, disorders, manicure/pedicure techniques, product knowledge, and professional ethics while preparing students for licensure and careers in the beauty industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate from an approved Manicure, Nail Technology, Cosmetology, or related training program.
• Minimum of three years of professional experience as a Manicurist, Nail Technician, or licensed nail professional.
• Current license as Manicurist/Nail Technician/Cosmetologist or applicable teaching credential as required by the state.
• Instructor credentials required by the state and accreditation standards.
• Strong knowledge of nail care services, sanitation, and safety.
• Ability to demonstrate hands-on nail techniques and provide feedback.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction using the approved Manicure curriculum.
• Demonstrate professional nail care techniques and provide individualized coaching.
• Supervise students performing services in the student salon or clinic.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, disinfection, and safety procedures.
• Prepare students for state licensing examinations and career readiness.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
