Job summary

Intertek in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a NACE II Inspector to join our Technical Inspection Services team. The role focuses on developing and implementing the Project Quality Plan in line with the Project Execution Plan, promoting quality awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities include inspecting and reporting observations, ensuring contractors meet codes and drawings, coordinating with engineers and field personnel, and overseeing QA/QC documentation along

Qualifications

• NACE level 2 Certification or higher is required.
• Insulation experience is required.
• Coating inspection experience is required.
• Able to work and communicate in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Must possess fundamental verbal and writing skills in English language.

Responsibilities

• Capture results of inspection / observations and report in timely manner.
• Ensure suppliers /contractors have relevant, up to date codes, standards, specifications and drawings.
• Interface with the discipline engineer, construction engineer, field workers and inspectors in a professional manner.
• Witness and monitor suppliers / contractors work activities, inspection, and test in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, ITP, Quality Procedures and etc.
• Assist review of Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and Quality Procedures and all pertained QA/QC documentation prior to commencement of any fabrication / construction work.
• Verify the implementation of PTW (permit to work) LOTO (lock-out and tag-out) and other safety procedures.
