NAC in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Mechanical Construction in Mankato. You will own project execution for plumbing, piping, and sheet metal, mentor junior staff, and drive estimates and proposals.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management and 3–5+ years PM experience in mechanical contracting, with solid client relationships and knowledge of building codes.

Responsabilidades

• Estimate projects for Plumbing, Pipefitting, and Sheetmetal.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers in change order estimating and process improvement.
• Forecast labor hours and schedule labor for projects.
• Ensure safety and maintain positive relationships with Foremen and Crew.
• Lead proposal generation and presentation to win new work.

NAC is looking for a Project Manager for Mechanical Construction projects based in Mankato, MN! NAC'sProject Managersdifferentiate themselves and NAC through excellent project execution. They own their personal development and create strong relationships with our customers. They will eventually sell the majority of their own work. Their skill level allows them to be effective partners to Assistant Project Managers and Sr Project Managers.

Essential Tasks for a Project Manager include:

• Estimating projects for all three trades (Plumbing, Pipefitting, and Sheetmetal)
• Teaching and partnering and mentoring Assistant Project Managers in change order estimating
• Proactively assist the NAC team with completing estimates

Managing Labor

• Forecasting labor hours
• Scheduling labor
• Communicating and developing positive relationships with the Foremen and Crew

Safety

• Perform safety audits to ensure a safe work environment
• Communicate safety concerns with Foremen and Crew
• Proactively plan for a safe job site from beginning of the project to the end
• Own the relationship with the customer/owner/general contractor that they have established
• Actively seek and develop new business relationships
• Lead and participate in proposal generation and presentation

Technical Knowledge

• Apply a well-rounded mechanical system knowledge to a variety of projects
• Apply knowledge of building codes and standards to deliver value for customers

Operational Excellence

• Demonstrate leadership through continuous improvement of self and NAC processes
• Follow Project Management Process Map
• Deliver projects that meet or exceed individual gross margin plan
• Mentor developing Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience

Required Demonstrated Experience

• 3-5+years of progressive project management experience in mechanical contracting specializing in plumbing, piping, and sheet metal
• Success building and maintaining client relationships
• A thorough understanding of construction and mechanical contractor industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities
• Experience directing/guiding others using innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
• Experience preparing estimates in plumbing, piping, and sheet metal projects
• Demonstrable success developing and maintaining customer relationships
• Solid skillset using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to gain proficiency in new software systems
• Salary/Benefits:
• Estimated Salary range of $85,000 to $120,000 (depending on experience) plus Incentive
