Salary Range: $19.53 - $25.57 per hour

Department Details

Shifts include:

• Two, 8-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend and holiday commitment
• Shift times: 7am-3:30pm, 3pm-11:30pm, or 11pm-7:30am

Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides care to patients during scheduled work hours, offering patient-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with basic healthcare needs: bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation, and emotional support
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments
• Record vital signs and other health information
• Collect non-invasive biological specimens as needed
• Perform clerical tasks related to scheduling and documentation
• Prepare treatment areas, clean medical equipment, dispose of biomedical waste
• Clean patient living and treatment areas

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology, and equipment
• Certification with the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry is preferred
• Certification is required if mandated by law (e.g., Home Care)
