Job summary

The NA CLTM EEG Specialist in the Clinical Neurophysiology Services (CNPS) Department at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) supports EEG operations across on-site and tele sites. Reporting to EEG Clinical Specialist Coordinator, you will provide multi-skilled clinical support and lead education for EEG Technicians and Trainees.

Required are a CAAHEP-endorsed END program, ABRET EEG Technician registration, ABRET LTM Technician and Neuro Analyst certifications, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited END program and ABRET EEG Technician registration.
• Must hold ABRET LTM Technician and ABRET Neuro Analyst certifications.
• Seven years EEG Technician experience with two years CLTM EEG experience.
• May require irregular hours under stressful conditions.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and educate EEG Technicians and Trainees at MUSC and Tele Sites.
• Facilitate education for Neurology Residents and Fellows.
• Support CNPS department goals and patient-centered care across Tele and RHN sites.

Additional Job Description

Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited program of Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technology or the equivalent and registered as an EEG Technician by ABRET required and must be maintained. Must also be a Certified LTM Technician and Certified Neuro Analyst by ABRET. Seven years of EEG Technician work experience required with two years of CLTM EEG Experience. May require working irregular hours under stressful conditions. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
