Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Recreation or equivalent experience in management.
• Ability to plan, develop, and oversee recreation programs.
• Experience ensuring compliance with applicable policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develops, manages, maintains, plans, budgets, executes, and administers a diverse recreation program.
• Writes and assists with standard operating procedures for the division.
• Ensures compliance with local policies, Navy and DoD instructions, and program standards.
• Provides guidance to division managers and reviews program performance and contracts.
• Monitors MOAs/MOUs, coordinates input from activity managers, and updates goals and plans.
• Oversees staffing, budgets, and project timelines; analyzes data to improve effectiveness.
• Ensures safety, security, and sanitation guidelines for facilities and activities.
• Supervises personnel, conducts evaluations, and supports recruitment and development.
• Maintains funds and property accountability; may act as Approving Official for purchases.
