Empire State Development, LLC seeks a Certification Review Specialist to evaluate MWBE applications under Article 15-A, Section 314, ensuring ownership and control criteria are met and documenting eligibility determinations.

Work with Business Development to guide recently certified firms toward New York State contract opportunities, respond to questions about the process, and support receipt of required documentation and resources.

Formación

• Six years of experience in contract compliance or related programs.
• Experience evaluating MWBE ownership and management for eligibility.
• Ability to conduct interviews and site visits and prepare final eligibility conclusions.

Responsabilidades

• Review certification applications for completeness and eligibility.
• Prepare written clarifications and request additional documentation.
• Coordinate with applicants to obtain up-to-date information on business activities.
• Conduct virtual and in-person state-wide interviews and site visits as needed.
• Ascertain eligibility for MWBE certification.
• Prepare reports focusing on ownership and managerial/control considerations.
• Represent the agency on panels for business seminars.
