Job summary

Empire State Development is seeking a Program Associate for the Minority and Women’s Business Development (MWBD) Division. The role serves as the primary MWBD liaison to assigned state agencies/authorities, reviewing MWBE reporting, procurement activities, and compliance with New York State Executive Law Article 15-A.

Responsibilities include analyzing annual goal plans and quarterly reports, conducting compliance reviews, providing technical assistance and training, and managing remedial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum 3 years of direct related experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in MWBD, economic development, or audit/compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work both collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

• Analyze MWBD reporting, procurement activities, and compliance with New York State Executive Law Article 15-A.
• Review annual goal plans and quarterly reports for assigned agencies/authorities.
• Conduct compliance reviews and provide technical assistance and training.
• Manage remedial initiatives for non-compliant agencies.
