Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a MVA Offload Fronts, Technician II, 1st Shift in Greenwood, SC. The role involves reading manufacturing drawings, mounting equipment, and performing wiring tasks in a Lean setting.

You will complete various checklists, manage material shortages, and ensure quality and cleanliness of assemblies. The position requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with flexibility for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate from drawings and instructions, following established procedures.
• Complete quality checklists and production documentation as required.
• Mount/install electrical equipment and perform wiring tasks.
• Lift and assemble components including heavy copper parts.
• Report material shortages to Kanban operators promptly.
• Inspect assemblies for quality and cleanliness compliance.
• Respond to change notices and customer-driven development needs.
• Support engineering and supervision with development activities.
• Train and coach teammates to share knowledge and skills.

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a MVA Offload Fronts, Technician II, 1st Shift.

The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:30 am until 3:30 pm.

This position is eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

• Work from manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or team leads, following established procedures.
• Complete ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists as required for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wiring operations as needed.
• Regularly lift, handle, and assemble components that include heavy copper parts.
• Report material shortages to the appropriate Kanban inventory operators.
• Inspect all assemblies to ensure hardware is secure, components are complete, and products meet cleanliness standards.
• Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
• Support engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer driven development activities.
• Effectively train and coach colleagues to support knowledge sharing and skill development.

Position Criteria:

• Skilled in the safe and efficient use of hand tools and pneumatic (air) tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs require.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and job specific systems such as ENOVIA.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• No relocation assistance is available. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographical requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year of industrial manufacturing experience
• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and feeling.
• Frequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more with or without accommodation
• Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.

Work Environment:

• Regular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust while performing job duties
